Look what I made...

Hohoho! It's a happy orange cube. I had too much scary orange felt lying around and had to waste it. And since it's somewhat identity-less, it could be anything including a papaya cube.

Oh and I decorated hair pins as well. Haha for the sheer fun of it. I love felt. Must get more felt. Yay. Oh and I don't know if you'll ever see any of these hair pins on my head but hey, ...you never know...

Yes and No

Controversial. I'm the kind of girl who loves nature. And I love people too. People make me cry. Abuse, poverty, depression, loneliness, and just basic pain and rot. If I had to choose between the preservation of nature and giving a better life to those who really need it, I'd definitely choose the latter. After all, people go to heaven and hell. The trees of the jungles don't. And neither do ducks or elephants etc.

You know I've realised something.

We deserve everything, but then again we deserve nothing at all.

Life should be fair to each and every one of us, and yet due to the sin within us, we shouldn't get anything at all.

Then why do we have what we have? Why are the good poor and the evil rich? Life is unfair but God is good. He loves us a lot and it breaks his heart to see people in hell.

Then why does hell exist? For the sake of justice.

I guess only God can give us all the answers we seek. Will I doubt? No.

You know when I told people that I was interested in doing psychology, here are some of the responses I got:

"I thought you liked art?"
"You serious!?"
"Wow, I didn't know you liked psychology"
"But psychology ar... blablabla"

Somewhat negative I guess. And yet there were stuff like:

"That's good, that's good"
"Once you've got an idea of what you've want, go for it. Don't (motions with hands) left, right"

It won't be easy I guess in decision-making and all (sighs). If told you why I wanted to do this, you'd either call me crazy, declare my explanation a whole load of bullshit or say something like 'such an olden age thinking! girl we live in the 21st century'.

Whatever.

Anyhow, I gotta do my pre-u first.

Wholely unrelated to V'day but exactly what I feel

There are some things that words cannot say.

Music is a form of language, even when sans lyrics. Just listening or making, it expresses something while impressing something else. Odd. But then again, I'm not expressing it right since this is a composition of words, not music.

Day 1 @ Tasik Temenggor

I'm gonna let the pictures do most of the talking for once. We left Penang at about 9 a.m., 8 Feb 08.

Here's us nearing lunchtime. Wahoo reaching the lake! Okay the lake is located in Perak, high up in the hilly area. We traveled the East-West highway from Gerik to the jetty where we would take a boat ride to our island.

Some ducklings I met at the jetty. So cute! I think I fell in love with ducks. I can't remember the last time I saw ducks up close and personal (not in soups of course!).

On the way to our island.

I was like amazed. There's this huge mass of fresh water kinda like hugged by these hills and mountains carpeted by these lush green jungles in the middle of nowhere. Anyhow...

We were supposed to go fishing for the toman (snakehead), a large kind of freshwater fish but we couldn't get any live bait (young keli a.k.a. catfish) so we couldn't go fishing. My dad was kinda disappointed. I think we all were la. Anyway, we went to our chalets and kinda dumped all our bags there then went for lunch at the dining area. After lunch we left to go to this viewing tower on another island. Went there by boat of course (never had so many boat rides in my life!). Omg the climb was mad. The hill was like 45 degrees inclined. Towards the top it was steeper than that. That was some serious climb. We were actually hiking through a bamboo jungle. It was like bamboo left right everywhere.

And here's some of the amazing sights we get from the viewing tower at the peak.

You know the more I capture these photographs, the more I realise that these photos are no where near the real thing.

(ahem) Let the girl have some syok sendiri moments please.

Then after hanging out there for a bit, we left to go back to our island. Yay I got to try canoing for the first time.

The water is amazing. Freshwater feel so different to the touch compared with seawater. The water is cold and feels so clean. Very yummy (I didn't taste i though uhm). We went swimming. With life jackets. There's no way you can even toe the bottom of the lake and fresh water means you can't float all that easily. Even good swimmers had to wear them life jackets. At one point the guide told us that the depth of the lake was 70-80 feet. What's considered shallow is 10-15 feet. We were swimming at that depth. Then it was dinner for us and yes sleep. Oh wait didn't mention them cicadas. These insects come out at night making lots of noise and they fly here and there banging into people. It actually hurts when they bang into you. They're harmless creatures and are captured for traditional Chinese medicine.

And thus ends day 1.

I miss that place, I really do. I wanna go there again!

Quickie

I'll be on holz from tmr to Sunday (haha special announcement). Anyway I'll be going to Tasik Temenggor in Perak. It's this huge man-made lake in the middle of nowhere kinda. I'm going there with my family and family's friends. Hmm yea, I'll promise I'll post many lovely pixxies when I get back (pixxies???). And yea I'll miss you guys and girls. Tzzk.

New Year Resolution #1:
Experience whatever possible whenever possible. No more "Ahh another day laah" kinda thing a.k.a. procrastination in having fun (OMG?). I shall just go for it so that someday I can say "I did it! It was boring/painful/scary but I DID IT!!". Yes. Whatever gets thrown at me I shall do it (if it doesn't affect me in any negative manner and put me in grave danger).
Hmm I think I have a minor fear of regret.

Wahoo! Starting tomorrow. Supposedly, the lake's huge and mightily deep (I can't swim! I live on a freaking island and I can't swim!!), leeches come out when it rains (major ew), the sun burns in the morn and it's super cold at night. But the sights are AMAZING! (:

Yay.

Buh-bye people! Mekmek..
